"The world demands a space for unity more than ever," said González, founder and CEO of America Business Forum. "ABF will be the platform from which leaders address the world and set the global course each year."
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who chairs the event's organizing committee, highlighted the city's increasingly important role as a hub for business and innovation. "It's exciting to welcome the leaders who will set the global agenda for the coming years on this historic stage," Suarez said, noting that Miami has already hosted high-profile events such as the Super Bowl, FIFA World Cup matches, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The organizers chose the motto "The World Meets in America" for the summit, which seeks to combine debates on politics and business with presentations by prominent representatives from sports and entertainment.
