The death of Miguel Ángel Russo left the Boca world and all of Argentine soccer paralyzed. The historic coach, remembered for having led Xeneize to the 2007 Copa Libertadores, is now resting in the place where he became an idol: La Bombonera.
After a massive wake in the Central Hall of Brandsen 805 and the subsequent cremation at the Pilar Cemetery, this Thursday the coach and his family's express wish was fulfilled. In an intimate ceremony filled with emotion and respect, attended by his closest circle, a portion of Russo's ashes was placed in the club's stadium on the Ribera, one of the temples that shaped his career and legacy.
