Argentine football is still mourning the loss of Miguel Ángel Russo, and his memory remains alive among those who accompanied him until his last day. One of them is Juvenal Rodríguez, his inseparable assistant coach, who spoke for the first time since the death of the former Boca coach and expressed his deep sadness. "It's very hard not to see him anymore," the Colombian confessed in an interview with Super Deportivo Radio.
"Since I met Miguel, I learned to enjoy life. Miguel taught me how to do it. His name was Miguel Ángel, he had the angel even in his name," he recalled with emotion. In his account, Rodríguez highlighted one of the qualities he admired most in the coach: calmness. "With him, you knew when to be silent. For Miguel, silence was an expression of wisdom," he stated.
The current member of Claudio Úbeda's coaching staff also recalled one of Russo's favorite phrases: "Don't ask me why, but this is going to happen." For Juvenal, that instinct was part of his greatness, to which he added his wisdom and prudence. "He caused so much love in people... and that spread with his passing," he said.
