Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni announced the dissolution of the "Instituto Nacional Juan Domingo Perón de Estudios e Investigaciones Históricas, Sociales y Políticas" and the "Comisión Permanente Nacional de Homenaje al Teniente General Juan Domingo Perón".
In the press conference held at Casa Rosada, the spokesperson for President Javier Milei explained that they are two unnecessary state institutions and have no reason to continue receiving state funding. The decision is part of a series of measures aimed at reducing public spending.
The Instituto Nacional Juan Domingo Perón, created in 1995 during the presidency of Carlos Menem through Decree 625/1995, had the mission to "promote and study the life, work, and ideology" of the Peronist former president.

As Adorni stated, its function is no longer relevant given the current academic landscape: "Historical research on former President Perón is already being carried out through universities, academic centers, foundations, and specialized institutions that ensure an academic study free from state constraints", the spokesperson explained.
