Milei's government offers $10 million rewards to identify terrorists
The goal is to encourage those who can provide key information to identify violent protesters
The attempted coup d'état that occurred on Wednesday, March 12, near the National Congress led the Government of Javier Milei to offer rewards of up to 10 million pesos.
The initiative aims to encourage those who, without having participated in the disturbances, can provide key information to identify and arrest those responsible for the acts of violence and destabilization.
According to Resolution 357/2025, published by the Ministry of Security, "It is of public and notorious knowledge that members of organized groups and 'barrabravas' from different football factions, under the pretext of supporting a demonstration of retired people, promoted disturbances with destabilizing purposes".

In this regard, the national Government emphasized that these groups were not related to the original call and detailed that the disturbances included vandalism, arson of police vehicles, and damage to public property.
President Javier Milei requested the arrest of 29 criminals identified through audiovisual records, who participated in last week's disturbances. This action was driven by the Ministry of Security, headed by Patricia Bullrich.
According to an official statement, the identification was achieved through a rigorous analysis of images, using facial recognition technology and recordings from various departments.
The clashes between security forces and violent protesters, belonging to Kirchnerism and the far left, left a toll of 46 injured, one of them in critical condition, and 124 detained, although most were released because a Kirchnerist judge freed them within a few hours.

The Government's message
Meanwhile, the Government of Javier Milei issued a forceful message through the screens of train stations, warning that "the police will suppress any attack against the Republic".
The phrase "protest is not violence" was chosen by Casa Rosada to headline the statement, which appeared on the boards where service schedules are usually informed.
This announcement is being disseminated a few hours before a new demonstration by Kirchnerism and the far left, under the pretext of "defending retirees," scheduled for 5 PM, and after the attempted coup d'état that occurred last week, and which may possibly be repeated today.
