Javier Milei officially launched La Libertad Avanza's campaign in the province of Buenos Aires with a photo in La Matanza that brought together his main candidates and key figures, including Karina Milei, Patricia Bullrich, José Luis Espert, Cristian Ritondo, and the eight sectional candidates.

The image included a banner with the phrase "Kirchnerism never again", evoking the famous slogan from the CONADEP report, which sparked controversy.

The purpose of the event was to demonstrate unity and electoral firepower in the most challenging territory for the national administration. It also served to formalize the start of a campaign focused on polarization with Kirchnerism and criticism of Axel Kicillof's administration.

Who attended the event

The image released by the administration included:

  • Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency
  • Patricia Bullrich, Minister of Security
  • José Luis Espert, national deputy candidate
  • Sebastián Pareja (LLA) and Cristian Ritondo (PRO), Buenos Aires leaders
  • Sectional candidates: Diego Valenzuela, Natalia Blanco, Maximiliano Bondarenko, Gonzalo Cabezas, Guillermo Montenegro, Oscar Liberman, Alejandro Speroni, and Francisco Adorni

The coalition will use the name La Libertad Avanza to compete in both electoral rounds, with libertarian colors and symbols. Santiago Caputo, the main presidential advisor, is in charge of the Buenos Aires strategy.

A campaign marked by territorial challenges

The administration's campaign in Buenos Aires faces the challenge of territorial heterogeneity, which requires differentiated strategies between Greater Buenos Aires and the interior. The Third Section, a Kirchnerist stronghold, is the most complex target. There, the administration will focus on criticism of Kicillof's management, especially regarding security and infrastructure.

Sebastián Pareja acknowledged it: "The province is very complex and very vast. What happens in Greater Buenos Aires is not the same as in other sections".

Milei's role in the campaign and coordination with PRO

The President's participation in the Buenos Aires campaign will be selective, especially for security reasons in Greater Buenos Aires. Appearances will be planned and limited. Good performance is expected in cities such as Mar del Plata, while in Bahía Blanca there are doubts after the national veto of the emergency due to flooding.

Meanwhile, La Libertad Avanza also assures that it will work together with PRO to safeguard the vote during the count. "We already know they're going to pull all kinds of tricks on us," warned a leader close to Pareja.
