President Javier Milei received a delegation from the company MidOcean Energy this Wednesday at Casa Rosada.The meeting is taking placewithin the framework of the Government's official agenda, aimed at promoting private investment in the energy and mining sectors.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, and the Secretary of Coordination of Energy and Mining, Daniel González.

During the meeting, the executives presented their view of the regional energy landscape. They also analyzed the opportunities that Argentina offers in a context of economic liberalization, macroeconomic normalization, and rules of the game oriented toward private investment.

Energy and mining, strategic pillars of the Government
The meeting is part of the National Government's strategy to position Argentina as a reliable destination for international capital. The focus is placed especially on key sectors such as energy and mining, which are considered central to growth, job creation, and foreign currency inflows.
From Casa Rosada, officials highlighted the interest of international companies in supporting the process of structural reforms driven by the Milei administration, with a focus on stability, predictability, and legal certainty.

The meeting with MidOcean Energy also marked the President's full return to official activity after the first weeks of January. In the coming days, Milei will begin an intense schedule that includes trips to Córdoba, Paraguay, and Switzerland.
The head of state will take part in the signing of the European Union–Mercosur agreement in Asunción. He will then travel to Davos to attend the World Economic Forum for the third consecutive year, where he will present his vision in favor of the ideas of freedom and market openness.
