Milei received the 'Economist of the Year 2025' award from the Order of Economists of Brazil
The organization highlighted the wisdom and determination of the Argentine president in his economic policies
The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, received the "Economist of the Year 2025" award, presented by the Ordem dos Economistas do Brasil (OEB), a civil institution based in São Paulo dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of economic knowledge in Latin America. The distinction recognizes the economic policies implemented by Milei since he took office as president, especially in monetary and regulatory matters, which were key to stabilizing the Argentine economy in a context marked by high inflation, poverty, and fiscal deficit. This recognition adds to an initial formal communication that OEB had made to Milei at the beginning of this year, when the organization's authorities officially notified him during a meeting held in Buenos Aires, at the Casa Rosada.
