Within the framework of the Gratitude Tour, the president was cheered by hundreds of supporters

President Javier Milei arrived in Mar del Plata this Monday and was received by a crowd of activists and supporters who gathered to accompany him on a new stop of the so-called Gratitude Tour. The visit took place in a climate of strong popular support, just a few months after the overwhelming victory of the ruling party in the 2025 legislative elections.

From his arrival at the Hotel Hermitage, Milei was cheered by hundreds of people who were waiting for him on the sidewalk and in the surrounding area. The lack of barriers and the large influx of people forced the head of state to move forward among the crowd, greeting and signing autographs before entering the building. The scene once again showed a feature that is repeated on every presidential tour: direct closeness with the grassroots and a strong spontaneous display of support.

Hours later, the President traveled to the intersection of Güemes and Avellaneda streets, the central point of the rally. There, standing on the bed of a pickup truck and with a megaphone in hand, he addressed the crowd with a brief but emphatic message. Milei expressed his gratitude for the electoral support obtained in 2025 and reaffirmed the course of his administration, assuring that before midyear all the promises made during the 2023 presidential campaign will be fulfilled.

In his speech, the head of state also previewed key legislative decisions. He indicated that in the coming weeks Congress will move forward with bills that, he stated, will allow Argentina to once again have "laws of reasonable countries." Among them, he mentioned the Labor Modernization Law and the update of the Glacier Law, which already have committee approval, in addition to the consideration in extraordinary sessions of the initiative to lower the age of criminal responsibility.

The presidential tour was accompanied by leaders and figures from La Libertad Avanza, among them the presidential chief of staff, Karina Milei, and national legislators from the coalition. During the day, there was also the presence of a small group of opposition demonstrators in the vicinity of the hotel, although the episode did not escalate and was overshadowed by the massive turnout of libertarian supporters.

After a brief appearance, Milei brought the Gratitude Tour in the city to a close and returned to the hotel with the official entourage. The presidential schedule will continue this Tuesday with his participation in Derecha Fest and a visit to the theatrical production starring Fátima Florez, confirmed by the production team.

The snapshot left by Mar del Plata reinforces a constant of the current government: a President who combines governance and political discourse with street tours, supported by an active and mobilized grassroots base, while he moves forward with an ambitious package of structural reforms.
