The government of Javier Milei continues to deepen its ties with the administration of Donald Trump and has advanced a common agenda related to religious freedom and Western values, during a meeting held at the White House.
The Secretary of Worship and Civilization of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, Agustín Caulo, met with Jennifer “Jenny” Korn, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Faith at the White House Faith Office, a branch of the U.S. Presidency dedicated to relations with religious and community organizations.

After the meeting, Caulo stated that both offices found great alignment in the work they are carrying out and particularly highlighted the promotion of Western values. “We found a lot of harmony in the work our offices do promoting the values of the West,” the Argentine official noted in a publication made this Sunday.
Caulo also linked the rapprochement to the foreign policy promoted by President Javier Milei and Chancellor Pablo Quirno. He asserted that the work developed by both allowed Argentina to be internationally recognized for its positioning on certain principles and values shared with the United States.
During the meeting, both officials also addressed the work of the White House Faith Office and agreed on “the importance of working together on common goals.”

The office headed by Korn was created by Trump through an executive order in February 2025 and operates within the Domestic Policy Council of the White House. Among its main responsibilities are the connection with religious entities, community organizations, and places of worship, as well as the development of recommendations related to the protection of religious freedom.
Korn holds the position of Deputy Assistant to the President and Faith Director. She had previously worked during Trump’s first administration as Deputy Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison and returned to the government in 2025 to join the new structure dedicated to faith affairs.

On the Argentine side, Caulo was appointed in May 2026 as Secretary of Worship and Civilization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after serving as Undersecretary of Worship. The decree also assigned him the protocol rank of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador while he remains in office.
The meeting took place just days after the White House released a report with 250 measures and actions from the Trump administration considered advances for religious communities, an agenda that includes religious freedom, strengthening families, and combating various forms of religious discrimination.
