Mirtha Legrand broke down when speaking about the death of Mila Yankelevich.

The host appeared moved by the case and sent her deepest condolences to the family

Argentinian television experienced a moment of great emotion last Saturday, when Mirtha Legrand broke down while referring to the tragic death of Mila Yankelevich, granddaughter of Cris Morena and Gustavo Yankelevich, and daughter of Sofía Reca and Tomás Yankelevich.

During her program La Noche de Mirtha (eltrece), the host dedicated a heartfelt message to the family, visibly moved by the news that shocked the artistic community.

The little girl, only seven years old, passed away last Monday in a boating accident on Hibiscus Island, Miami, after a barge collided with the sailboat she was traveling on.

According to initial reports, a high-speed barge crashed into the sailboat where the girl was with other people, causing fatal injuries that ended her life instantly and that of another 13-year-old girl.

From her historic table, Mirtha looked at the camera and expressed with a trembling voice: "All my love to Sofía and Tomás, and to the whole family." After a brief pause, she added: "A kiss to heaven. What a terrible tragedy..." making clear her sadness and closeness to the Yankelevich-Reca family.

Mila's unexpected passing triggered a wave of messages of support and condolences for the family. Numerous entertainment figures and colleagues of Cris Morena and Gustavo Yankelevich used social media to send words of support during this time of deep grief over the past week.

Mirtha's look on a night marked by emotion

Despite the somber atmosphere, Mirtha once again stood out for her style. For the broadcast on Saturday, August 2, she chose an ivory and black dress embroidered with paillettes, designed by the Iara brand, accompanied by matching earrings and rings. With her characteristic charisma, she commented live: "Divine, divine... I cut my hair a little, can you tell?"

At 98 years old, the Argentine television diva continues to lead the screen and set trends, although this time the night was marked by a tribute filled with respect and affection for a family struck by tragedy.
