What had promised to be the main course of the evening ended up becoming one of the most controversial episodes in European MMA. The main event of Clash 15, held in Brno, Czech Republic, was suspended after just a few seconds when Pavol Vasko bit his rival's ear, Václav Mikulásek, in a scene that immediately evoked the infamous scandal starring Mike Tyson in 1997.
The fight, announced as a "no-rules" clash under the slogan "Bloody Valentine's Day", was taking place at Winning Group Arena. As soon as the exchange inside the octagon began, Mikulásek, nicknamed Baba Jaga, attempted a takedown on Vasko, known as Pali Hari. The response was as unusual as it was illegal: a direct bite to the ear that caused immediate pain to the attacked fighter and the quick intervention of the referee, who declared the automatic disqualification.
Although the organization had promoted the fight as extreme, bites were expressly forbidden. The footage showed Mikulásek with visible signs of pain and traces of blood on his head, while the crowd reacted with surprise and anger to the situation.
The scandal did not end inside the cage. After stepping down from the octagon, Vasko was intercepted by members of the opposing corner and by several spectators. Within seconds, the situation turned into generalized chaos. Punches, kicks, bottles, chairs flying, and all kinds of assaults forced the fighter to flee toward the locker rooms while the security staff tried to contain the crowd.
Hours later, the fighter himself shared an image of his injured ear on social media and referred to the episode with irony: "Guys, he bit my ear. If you want to know how much it hurt, about 100 times more than the dentist".

The scene inevitably recalled the most famous precedent of this type of action, when Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield in 1997, an incident that cost him his license and a historic sanction. In Brno, the evening went on despite the chaos and the organization crowned René Blahovsky as champion in the 93-kilogram (205-pound) division, although the focus remained on the serious incident.
For the moment, no additional sanctions have been announced for Vasko, but the episode reopened the debate about the limits, safety, and crowd control at this type of event, whose impact spread rapidly on social media.
