The enigma surrounding the strange statue at The Game Awards 2025 might finally have an explanation. According to a report from MP1st, everything suggests that the monument could be linked to a new game in the Divinity saga. This project would be developed by Larian Studios, the same studio behind the success of Baldur’s Gate 3.
The possibility gained traction after new trademarks associated with the franchise were detected, whose designs would match the details of the figure.

How the mystery of the statue began
Everything goes back to last month, when a statue suddenly appeared in the middle of the New Mexico desert. Both The Game Awards and Geoff Keighley played up the mystery, leaving cryptic clues that sparked debate.
Speculation multiplied: God of War, Diablo, Saros, The Elder Scrolls... There were all kinds of theories. Some rumors were even dismissed by industry figures such as Jason Schreier and Cory Barlog.
The key clue: a new Divinity registered by Larian Studios
According to the MP1st report, trademark records were found indicating that Larian could be working on a new title in the Divinity series. The images associated with those filings would match the statue's aesthetic.
