Lautaro Martínez once again left his mark on the history of Inter de Milán. With his goal in the 0-5 thrashing of Sassuolo, the Argentine forward reached 171 official goals with the Nerazzurri jersey and became the third-highest scorer in the club's history, a milestone that consolidates him as one of the institution's great standard-bearers.
"In history", Inter posted on its official social media accounts to celebrate the achievement of the former Racing player, who reached that figure in 368 matches. The club itself released the top scorers' table, where it is evident that Lautaro, who drew level with Roberto Boninsegna, still has room to keep climbing positions.

The immediate target appears relatively close. Alessandro Altobelli, second on the list, has 209 goals, so the Argentine will need 38 more to overtake him. More distant, although not impossible from a mathematical standpoint, is the record held by Giuseppe Meazza, the historical leader with 284 goals. To equal him, Lautaro would have to score 113 more goals in an Inter jersey.
