A giant from England would be willing to pay Franco Mastantuono's release clause.
The club would pay the 45 million euro release clause for the Millonario's youth player. Meanwhile, River is already negotiating a contract extension
Franco Mastantuono, one of the young gems of Gallardo's second cycle at River, continues to attract the interest of several European giants. At just 17 years old, his name is already on the radar of the continent's most powerful clubs, and according to British media, Manchester United would be willing to pay the youth's release clause, which amounts to 45 million euros.
The British newspaper The Sun claims that at Old Trafford they have nicknamed him "the Argentine Phil Foden" due to his refined technique and ability to adapt to different roles on the field. The publication also specifies that the amount they would have to pay for the midfielder is around £38 million, equivalent to the value set in the clause expressed in pounds sterling.

The Red Devils, however, would not be the only ones with the Azul player on their radar. Clubs like Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are also closely following someone who is already considered one of the greatest promises of Argentine soccer in the last ten years.
From River, alert to this growing wave of interest, they have already started negotiations with the player's entourage to negotiate an improvement in his release clause. The club's intention is to protect its assets and ensure appropriate compensation in the event of a possible transfer.
Mastantuono's situation at River
The young millionaire talent has a contract in force until the end of 2026, with a release clause set at 45 million euros (which rises to 50 if executed in the last 10 days of a transfer window). Despite the growing interest from top European clubs, River's management seeks to renew his contract for one more year.
Although it will not be an easy task considering the magnitude of the offers, both parties are willing to move forward. If an agreement is reached, the youth would become one of the highest-paid players on the team, which would be a recognition of his current importance and future projection.

A similar situation occurs with Ian Subiabre, 18 years old, whose clause is set at 30 million. In his case, the management is in talks with his representative, Claudio Paul Caniggia, to ensure his continuity at the club.
