The next major technological revolution no longer involves screens, hands, or voice. The goal now is to connect the mind directly with artificial intelligence.
According to The Verge, Sam Altman is driving a non-invasive brain interface that could forever change the way we interact with computers.

A project to connect the mind without surgery
The CEO of OpenAI is working on a technology that would allow the brain to be linked with external devices without opening the skull or implanting electrodes. The development is led by Mikhail Shapiro, a biomolecular engineer and a leader in neuromodulation.
The initiative involves using sound waves and magnetic fields to transmit and read neural signals with precision, avoiding the medical risks of surgery.
A direct alternative to Neuralink
Meanwhile, Elon Musk is moving forward with Neuralink through invasive surgeries, while Altman is seeking a safe, reversible, and external interface. Both proposals pursue the same goal: merging the brain and artificial intelligence to enhance human capabilities.
