Opens the final matchday of the Club World Cup group stage: How is each team doing?
The group stage of the revamped World Cup tournament is being defined and everyone is seeking their place in the round of 16: who has qualified, who is risking everything, and which results are useful
With the last matchday of the group stage, the Club World Cup enters one of its most exciting stretches. Historic teams and some surprise contenders are fighting for a spot in the round of 16 in suspense-filled deciders. Below, we will review the situation in each group.
Group A
This group could see several surprises, since no team has secured its place in the next round. Although Palmeiras and Inter Miami share the lead with 4 points, Porto and Al Ahly, both with 1 point, still have a chance to qualify, although tiebreaker criteria would come into play.

With everything still to be decided, Group A will play its last matchday today with the matches between leaders Inter Miami and Palmeiras, and between Porto and Al Ahly. Both matches will be at 22:00, the first at Hard Rock Stadium and the second at MetLife Stadium.
Group B
In this group, the last-placed team can still qualify or the first-placed team could be eliminated. In the first case, Seattle Sounders can still stay in the race, but would need an extraordinary victory against Paris Saint-Germain and a Botafogo win against Atlético de Madrid.
Meanwhile, despite leading the group thanks to a great win over PSG, Botafogo could still be left out in its last group stage match against Atlético. Fogao leads its group with 6 points, however, if it loses to the Colchonero by a margin of 3 goals or more and PSG beats Seattle Sounders, it could be eliminated.

The decisive matches in Group B will be played today starting at 16:00. Botafogo - Atlético Madrid will be at Rose Bowl Stadium, while PSG - Seattle Sounders will be at Lumen Field Stadium (the stadium where the American team usually plays).
Group C
Boca still holds out hope of staying in the Club World Cup, although it doesn't depend on itself. With Bayern Munich already qualified, Xeneize will not only have to beat already eliminated Auckland City by a considerable number of goals, but also needs Benfica to lose to the German side to secure a hypothetical second place.

Group C will decide its second qualifier tomorrow starting at 16:00. On one hand, Benfica - Bayern Munich will be at Bank of America Stadium, while Boca - Auckland City will be at GEODIS Park.
Group D
Flamengo has already secured its place in the round of 16 and LAFC has no chance of advancing to the next round. With this scenario, only the second place remains to be decided, which will be between Chelsea and Esperance ST, who will face each other in the last matchday.

Group D will conclude tomorrow starting at 22:00 with the matches between LAFC, with no chance of qualifying, and Flamengo, and between Chelsea and Esperance. The match between the Americans and Brazilians will be at Camping World Stadium, while the one between the English and Tunisians will be at Lincoln Financial Field.
Group E
The only confirmed outcome in this group is the elimination of Urawa Red Diamonds after its defeat to Inter Milan in the previous matchday, so the two qualifiers still need to be confirmed. To advance, Monterrey only needs to win against the Japanese side; any other result leaves it out.
Meanwhile, the possible scenarios become more complicated when it comes to River and Inter. In the case of the Millonario, a win or a draw by two goals or more would secure its qualification regardless of what happens in Monterrey - Urawa, while if it draws by less or loses it needs the Mexican team not to beat the Japanese. In the case of Nerazzurri, a win or a draw would put it in the round of 16, but in the event of a defeat it needs Rayados not to beat Urawa.

Group E will decide its qualifiers this Wednesday at 22:00. The match between River and Inter will be played at Lumen Field Stadium, while Monterrey and Urawa Red Diamonds will play at Rose Bowl Stadium.
Group F
With the elimination of Ulsan Hyundai already confirmed after its recent defeat, Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, and Mamelodi Sundowns are fighting for qualification to the next round. Currently, Flu and Borussia are the leaders, but the South African team can still spring a surprise and secure its ticket to the round of 16. For this to happen, it must beat the Brazilian team or draw and hope the Korean team beats the German side.
Meanwhile, Fluminense and Borussia only need a draw to stay in the race, but they will try to win their respective matches to take the top spot in the table.

Group F will decide its qualifiers on Wednesday at 16:00. The match between Fluminense and Mamelodi Sundowns will be at Hard Rock Stadium, while Borussia Dortmund and Ulsan Hyundai will play at TQL Stadium.
Group G
This is the only group that has already determined its two qualifiers, although their final positions are yet to be decided. Juventus and Manchester City have dominated their group with their victories over Wydad AC and Al Ain, and their match in the last round will decide who finishes first.

Group G will conclude this Thursday at 16:00. The match between Juve and City will be at Camping World Stadium, while the match for third place in the group between Wydad and Al Ain will be at Audi Field.
Group H
Real Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg and Al-Hilal will fight for the last tickets to the round of 16. Casablanca is in a situation similar to Inter Milan in Group E, since a win or a draw against the Austrian team would put it in the next round and a defeat could leave it out if Al-Hilal beats already eliminated Pachuca.
The same applies to the energy drink team with River, but with some differences. If it draws 0-0 or 1-1 and Al-Hilal wins, fair play could leave it out, while if it draws by two goals or more it is definitely through. Meanwhile, a defeat to Real Madrid and a win by the Arabs would leave it out.

The last matches of the group stage will be played this Thursday at 22:00. Real Madrid and Red Bull Salzburg will face off at Lincoln Financial Field, while Al-Hilal and Pachuca will play at GEODIS Park.
