Frank Ribéry supported Boca and nominated it as a contender in the Club World Cup.
The former Bayern Munich footballer praised Miguel Ángel Russo's team ahead of their debut in the revamped World Cup tournament
Boca is preparing to face the 2025 Club World Cup and its group won't be easy: it will face Benfica, Bayern Munich, and Auckland City in a demanding group. In this context, Franck Ribéry, a legendary former player for the Bavarian team, surprised with an optimistic view regarding the Argentine team's chances.
"I'm a fervent Boca Juniors supporter. I hope I can travel to Argentina someday because I love the atmosphere. Also, it could definitely win the Club World Cup," said the Frenchman in a conversation with FIFA, highlighting his admiration for the club from La Ribera.

The former striker added: "Their approach, mentality, and mood are extraordinary. It's going to be a real challenge for Boca Juniors, but also for Bayern and the rest of the clubs. It's difficult to predict who will win or who will advance to the next round. I'll try to follow everything that happens and let myself be guided by emotions."
These compliments add to the statements made by Thomas Müller, who will play his last tournament with the Bavarian club. The German midfielder revealed that the match against Xeneize is one of those he most wants to play: "There are several things I'm looking forward to; a highlight will be the match against Boca Juniors in Miami."
How is Bayern Munich doing?
The team led by Miguel Ángel Russo will have a key match on Friday, June 20 at 10:00 p.m. (Argentine time), when it faces Bayern Munich at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, for the second matchday of the group.
The German team arrives after being crowned Bundesliga champion, with a great performance: it won 25 matches, drew 7, and only lost 2 in 34 matchdays. In the Champions League, it reached the quarterfinals, a stage in which it fell to Inter Milan, later the tournament's runner-up. Its record was 8 wins, 2 draws, and 4 losses in 14 appearances.
