An ESRB leak revealed that Death Stranding 2 will have a Windows version and could be announced in December

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach could add a PC version much sooner than expected. A leak from the ESRB rating system revealed a listing mentioning a Windows edition. This is the first concrete sign that the game will no longer be exclusive to PS5.
Until now, the sequel from Kojima Productions remained one of the flagship titles for Sony's console. With Hideo Kojima's imprint, it was one of the most talked-about releases of 2025 and competed for Game of the Year at The Game Awards.

The ESRB leak that raised alarms
The appearance of the Windows version on the ESRB confirms that the title has already gone through its rating process. The page remains active and accessible, although there has not yet been an official announcement from Sony or Kojima Productions.
The timing with the upcoming The Game Awards, which takes place on December 11, has sparked speculation about a possible announcement during the ceremony. There is also a chance that confirmation could come earlier if the leak has accelerated the plans.
When could the PC version be released?
If the release window of the first Death Stranding is repeated (which arrived on PC less than a year after its debut), the sequel could arrive around March.

The first installment also arrived on Xbox Series in 2024, five years after the original release. However, there are still no indications that the sequel will follow the same path.
What is missing for confirmation?
Only the official announcement remains. The ESRB leak is solid and verifiable, and it is usually one of the last steps before a public presentation. For this reason, everything indicates that the Windows version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is just a matter of time.
