Ezequiel "Pocho" Lavezzi ended up involved in a legal dispute again. Martín Dominici, who was his personal assistant and most trusted man for almost two decades, filed a labor lawsuit against the former footballer for an amount exceeding 500 million pesos, alleging unjustified dismissal.
The case, which began at the end of 2024 and is currently at first instance, reveals an employment relationship that dates back to the beginnings of Lavezzi at San Lorenzo. According to journalist Luis Bremer on the program A la tarde (América TV), Dominici began working with the forward in 2005 and, as the years went by, his role turned into that of a true "right-hand man", with tasks that went beyond any traditional administrative function.
Dominici le reclama 500 millones a Lavezzi
According to what Bremer reported, the assistant accompanied Lavezzi throughout all his professional stages, including his residences in Naples, Paris, and China. His responsibilities included moving logistics, property management, personal shopping, account management, and even financial operations in the former player's name.
That relationship, precisely, is one of the central points of the lawsuit. Dominici keeps that he had full access to the former forward's finances and states that his work had no clear hours or limits, a key point in the claim for severance compensation.
The dispute, however, has a prior financial background. According to the case file, Lavezzi had previously sued Dominici over a loan of almost 170,000 dollars that was never repaid and that was due to be returned in March 2022. That clash of claims ultimately broke the relationship for good.
Lavezzi fue parte de un partido de leyendas frente a Uruguay
While he is going through this legal process, the former Argentina national team player is keeping a low profile and is staying away from the media spotlight. After spending a few days in Punta del Este with his family, he avoided speaking publicly about the legal dispute. Meanwhile, his last public appearance was this past Friday, when he played in the legends match against Uruguay at Playa Mansa.
This way, as he tries to go through a more private personal stage, Lavezzi is facing one of the most complex legal chapters since his retirement from professional football in 2019.
