Pokémon TCG Pocket announces Johto-focused expansion with early leak

The most anticipated expansion of the year for Pokémon TCG Pocket now has a confirmed release date. On July 30, the collectible card game for mobile devices will launch its new set titled The Path of Sky and Sea (unofficial name), with the Johto region as the main protagonist.

The announcement, which was supposed to be made during the July Pokémon Presents, was leaked ahead of time due to an error by the official Pokémon channel in Italy, which published the promotional trailer in advance. This allowed players to learn key details of this expansion ahead of time.

New cards featuring Lugia, Ho-Oh, and more classic characters

The expansion will include themed packs featuring Lugia and Ho-Oh, two of the most iconic legendaries from the second generation. Ex versions of both will also be available, as well as special cards for trainers and classic characters like Silver.
