This Sunday, June 1, a violent attack took place in Boulder, Colorado, which left several people injured, some seriously, during a peaceful event in support of Israeli hostages held by Hamas.
The striker, identified by police sources as Mohammed Soliman, threw Molotov cocktails and set participants on fire while shouting antisemitic slogans such as "Death to the Zionists!" and "End the Zionists!".
The attack occurred around 1:26 p.m. local time, near the Boulder County Courthouse and the Pearl Street Mall, during a walk organized by the group "Run For Their Lives". This event is a weekly peaceful demonstration that aims to show solidarity with Israeli hostages and their families, without political or protest character.
Witnesses and organizers reported that the striker was waiting with bottles filled with a flammable liquid. He then lit them and threw them at the participants, injuring at least five people. A woman was severely burned and had to roll on the ground to extinguish the flames.

Local police arrived quickly at the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls alerting them to an armed man setting people on fire. The suspect was identified by people in the crowd, detained without resistance and taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The victims were transported to nearby hospitals, some later transferred to specialized centers due to the severity of their injuries.
Although FBI Director Kash Patel described the incident as a "targeted terrorist attack" in a statement published on X, Boulder Police Chief Steve Redfearn noted cautiously that it was still too early to determine the motivation and that it had not been officially classified as an act of terrorism. However, he acknowledged that it was an "unacceptable" attack on a quiet afternoon in downtown Boulder.
