With the end of the year, the second installment of the Aguinaldo also arrives, a key income for registered workers and retirees. Its calculation depends on the period worked during the second half of the year, so not everyone receives the same amount.
When seniority doesn't cover the full six months (from July to December), the proportional aguinaldo mechanism is applied.

How the aguinaldo amount is determined
In Argentina, the Annual Complementary Salary (SAC) is paid in two installments: one in June and another in December. Each one is equivalent to 50% of the highest monthly salary of the semester.
For December 2025, the highest salary between July and December is taken. This is established by Law 23,041, which applies to the private sector, public administration, and state-owned companies.
How to calculate the proportional aguinaldo
Those who worked the full six months receive half of the highest salary of the period without additional calculations. When the employee did not complete the semester, a proportional formula is applied: monthly salary / 12 × months worked.
