A raid at the municipal hospital of Quilino uncovered the existence of expired medications. The prosecutor of Deán Funes, Analía Cepede, supervised the procedure. At the site, supplies and documentation were seized that will be analyzed to determine responsibilities regarding their management.
The complaint was filed by an on-call physician who noticed the possible administration of expired drugs. Her testimony led to the judicial operation. Investigators are seeking to determine whether patients received those medications and who was responsible for oversight at the institution.
Meanwhile, the Municipality rejected the accusations in an official statement. They claimed that the complaint is politically motivated. Mayor Mabel Godoy even suggested that an opposition leader might have been involved in the entry of the observed supplies.

Complaint and nighttime operation
The physician who filed the complaint was identified as Delfina Lorenzón, who has been working at the hospital for only a few months. According to her account, she had previously warned about the situation without receiving responses from the responsible authorities.
In the early hours of Monday, she decided to formally file the report at the local police station. She stated that during the previous shift, expired medical supplies might have been administered. After that, a judicial procedure was carried out in the building located at Sarmiento and Independencia streets, which lasted several hours.
