A joint operation by the Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor's Office and the Police Force arrested a repeat offender in crimes related to drug trafficking. After 6 months of investigation, they managed to apprehend him.
Last Thursday, the 53-year-old suspect was caught and arrested at the Río Cuarto terminal as he was about to travel to Canals. He was carrying several doses of cocaine, as well as money, a bus ticket, and other items of interest to the case.
Meanwhile, his house was simultaneously raided, where two other suspects were attempting to clean the place and remove incriminating items. There, the police seized 2 kg (4.4 pounds) of cocaine, a pickup truck, money, a digital scale, and various items linked to the sale of narcotics.

The Deputy Secretary of the Prosecutor's Office, Julián Testa, explained: "The investigation took several months. It was quite complex because part of the crime was committed in the city of Río Cuarto and part in Canals, since our main suspect frequently traveled between both locations."
Testa also stated that "his case reached the Criminal Court, which sentenced him to several years in prison. He served his sentence and upon release, shortly thereafter, we noticed through anonymous reports that he had returned to the same illegal activity."
