A few days ago, the vice-rector of UBA publicly presented two pay stubs, but in reality, he receives three salaries

A report prepared by journalist Tomás Díaz Cuento and shared on his social media revealed that the vice-rector of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Emiliano Yacobitti, receives a millionaire salary, far higher than what he had publicly admitted.
A few days ago, Yacobitti had tried to convey to public opinion the idea that, despite holding the second-highest position at UBA and being a professor, his income was relatively low.
To support this, he showed two pay stubs indicating an income close to 2 million net pesos per month, corresponding to his roles as a part-time and full-time professor at the university. What stands out is that neither of those documents included his salary as vice-rector.

The journalistic report revealed that, in reality, Yacobitti submitted 24 invoices in just 8 months, which amounts to three invoices submitted each month. These submissions were reported in his sworn statement to the Superintendence of Occupational Risk, totaling more than 78 million pesos (over 171,960 pounds) during that period. If that figure is divided, it becomes clear that the vice-rector received almost 10 million pesos per month (about 22,050 pounds).
This directly contradicts the false version presented by Yacobitti days earlier. If he receives 2 million as a professor, the difference of more than 7 million per month (over 15,430 pounds) would be linked to his role as vice-rector, a position he had so far tried to conceal in the documents released publicly.
However, the situation is not limited to Yacobitti. According to the same investigation, UBA's rector, Ricardo Gelpi, would also be in a similar situation, presenting a scheme of three invoices per month, which indicates that his income would be on a scale comparable to that of the vice-rector.

The finding demonstrates the falsehood of the narrative that UBA authorities publicly maintain regarding the university's budget and the institution's financial difficulties.
Meanwhile, in the political arena, they present themselves as defenders of public education and demand greater allocations from the State, but the official data from their own sworn statements reflect salaries that far exceed the salary levels of any other official in the university or state sector.
