The left-wing mobilization called in front of Congress against the Law of Inviolability of Private Property project, although it attracted much less participation than in previous episodes, resulted in a day of extreme violence, with 12 Kirchnerists detained, four security forces injured, and numerous damages in the downtown area.

The incidents began in the afternoon while the Senate debated the initiative promoted by the national government. A group of leftists attacked the agents deployed in the operation with stones, blunt objects, and other projectiles, prompting a response from the security forces using tear gas, water cannons, and rubber bullets to disperse the more violent groups.

According to the latest official report, the Federal Police arrested three people for assault and resistance to authority, while the City Police arrested another nine, bringing the total to 12 detainees.

During the clashes, four officers were also injured, including a City Police officer who suffered an elbow injury after being hit by a stone and three members of the federal forces affected during the attacks.

The violent groups also caused significant material damage. They destroyed a police car, broke sidewalks to obtain stones which they then threw at the police, and set fire to seven garbage containers, forcing an expansion of the security operation in various points of the microcenter.

As the night progressed, members of the Federal Police and the City Police advanced to regain control of the area, clearing Plaza Congreso, Avenida de Mayo, and the main access points to the area after several hours of clashes.

Among the detainees is Lucas Emanuel Suárez, identified by authorities as one of the protesters who threw stones at the officers and who had previously been hit by a rubber bullet during the disturbances.

The demonstration took place in rejection of the democratic day where the law project promoted by the government is debated. Although the initiative originally included modifications to the Land Law, that chapter was withdrawn by the Executive Power before the parliamentary debate.
