River and Olimpo will play a charity match for the victims of Bahía Blanca
The Bahian club confirmed an agreement with Jorge Brito to play a charity match for the victims of the storm
In recent days, many players and teams have collaborated with those affected by the floods in Bahía Blanca, organizing collections and solidarity campaigns to assist them. In addition to the aid organized by the club with food, mattresses, and other essential items, River agreed to a charity match with Olimpo, a team from the Buenos Aires city.
From the "Aurinegro" team, which once played in the First Division, they thanked the Millionaire and its president through a statement published on their social media.

"We thank River Plate's enormous gesture of generosity and greatness expressed through its president Jorge Brito," the statement highlighted, which concludes by informing that in the coming days, the details of the day and time of the match will be announced.
Initially, River's reserve team was going to play a friendly with the Federal A club. However, given the health emergency that Bahía Blanca is going through, the Núñez club decided that the match would be played by the professional squad, led by Marcelo Gallardo.
This match also signifies the reunion between the Bahía club and a River player: Miguel Ángel Borja. The Hummingbird arrived at Olimpo in June 2014 on loan, with a purchase option of 1.5 million dollars, from Livorno in Italy's Serie B along with Mauricio Cuero, a U-20 teammate. During his stay at the club, he scored three goals and his second goal was precisely against River, the leader at that time of the championship, to tie the match 1 to 1.
