Russia launched a massive bomb campaign against major Ukrainian cities
In another major event, Russia has carried out intense attacks on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and the city of Sumy
In the early hours of Monday, Russia launched another devastating attack against Ukraine using 426 drones and 24 missiles, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy confirmed that the attack left at least two dead, 15 injured, and multiple damages to civilian infrastructure, including homes, businesses, and a train station in Kyiv.
Explosions lit up the night sky over Kyiv, and the sound of drone engines caused panic among residents, many of whom sought shelter in underground stations.
Other cities also suffered severe bombings. In the western city of Ivano-Frankivsk, the mayor described the attack as the most intense since the beginning of the war, with four people injured.

Conflict with no apparent solution
In Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, 12 attacks left an industrial facility in flames.
In the border region of Sumy, 14 people were injured after drone and bomb attacks, particularly in the towns of Putyvl and Sumy, where residential buildings and civil services were damaged.
The Russian offensive comes as the conflict, which has lasted more than two and a half years, shows no clear signs of resolution. Although United States President Donald Trump has promoted valuable peace negotiations, progress has been limited.
The Kremlin stated that President Vladimir Putin is willing to move toward an agreement, but the territorial demands and conditions he seeks to impose on Kyiv make any future compromise difficult.

Ukraine proposes to resume negotiations
Zelenskiy, meanwhile, has proposed resumingnegotiations next week and has reiterated that Ukraine will never recognize Russian sovereignty over the occupied territories. The president emphasized his country's sovereign right to decide its future, including a possible union with NATO.
Meanwhile, Trump, increasingly frustrated with Putin, announced a new shipment of weapons to Ukraine last week, including Patriot air defense systems, thus strengthening U.S. military support. In addition, the European Union approved a new package of sanctions against Russia, focused on further hitting its energy industry.
In response to the constant Russian attacks, Zelenskiy declared that "only real pressure on Russia can stop this aggression." His position was supported this Monday by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, who visited the affected areas of Kyiv this Monday.
