A 32-year-old man was arrested in the city of San Francisco, Córdoba, accused of storing and distributing child pornography. The investigation began after a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States. The organization activated its international alert system known as CyberTipline.
The operation was carried out at a house on Jerónimo del Barco Street, Sarmiento neighborhood, in the San Justo department. There, electronic devices containing child sexual exploitation material were seized. The evidence will remain under judicial analysis.
The Cybercrime Prosecutor's Office intervened after the NCMEC's notification. The accused remains in custody and at the disposal of the provincial justice while the investigation is expanded.

NCMEC's role
NCMEC was created in 1984 by John and Revé Walsh, parents of a missing child in the United States. It was established as an information exchange center for missing and exploited children. Over time, it became a global leader in the fight against child sexual exploitation.
The organization manages the international CyberTipline, which receives reports from technology companies and users. From there, it channels reports to governments and law enforcement agencies in each country. This mechanism made it possible to detect illegal activity in Córdoba.
