San Lorenzo is experiencing one of the most critical moments in recent years, with a political and institutional crisis that threatens to escalate even further. After the tense meeting at the AFA complex in Ezeiza, where there were accusations, shouting, and even threats of disaffiliation, the club's directors are working against the clock to present an internal restructuring plan that would exclude the current president, Marcelo Moretti.
The president of the AFA, Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia, demanded that the blaugrana board submit a formal project before Tuesday that guarantees governability and prevents a possible intervention or sanction by the organization. Although the club hasn't yet received the official summons to hold the meeting, the draft document is already in its final stage.
The plan proposes the formation of a new Board of Directors, led by Sergio Costantino as president and Ulises Morales as vice president, replacing Moretti. This is an internal consensus formula that seeks to put an end to the disputes that have deepened in recent weeks, marked by resignations, internal fractures, and cross-accusations within the ruling party.
