After months of conflict, the blaugrana leadership will meet again at the AFA to present a restructuring plan
San Lorenzo is experiencing days of maximum tension and institutional uncertainty. After several months of conflict, the club's directors were once again summoned by the mobster Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia to present a restructuring plan, as the AFA president had requested last week.
The meeting was scheduled for Friday the 7th at 10 a.m. at the Ezeiza complex and will include the presence of the entire Board of Directors and the Assembly Board. AFA was clear: the proposal must comply with the statute and be free from any political interference, since the disgraceful Tapia warned that he could disaffiliate the club if he detects external interference in the institutional life of the Ciclón.

In the current scenario, the leadership is considering only one concrete path: to continue without Marcelo Moretti's leadership. Themain option is for the club to once again enter a state of leaderlessness, with the Assembly Board, headed by Ulises Morales, taking provisional control until an Extraordinary Assembly is called, where a transitional leadership would be determined.
Nevertheless, the possibility of an orderly exit still generates internal divisions. In recent hours, virtual meetings were held among directors, groups, and former directors, although no consensus was reached. Morales, who participated in the meeting, stated that AFA was unequivocal: "As long as it's within the statute, everything."
Among the alternatives being considered, Sergio Costantino, current opposition board member, offered himself as a possible option to lead the transitional process. However, he doesn't have majority support, and if the Assembly is called, other proposals could be brought to the table.

Meanwhile, Marcelo Moretti announced that he will not resign and keeps his position based on the judicial support that ratified him as president. In addition, he must appear this Thursday at 11 a.m. for a preliminary statement via Zoom, a stage that could influence the decisions made in Ezeiza the following day.
This way, San Lorenzo's institutional future is once again hanging in the air, amid pressure from AFA, leadership fragmentation, and the urgent need to set a course for a project that will restore stability to the Boedo club.
