A spiritual leader was arrested in the town of San Marcos Sierras, Córdoba, as part of an investigation into alleged human trafficking. The arrest was carried out by officers from the Anti-Trafficking Team of the Complex Crimes and Judicial Procedures Investigation Unit "Córdoba" of Gendarmería Nacional. The operation was conducted after several weeks of surveillance and information exchange with judicial authorities.
According to official sources, the officers managed to locate the suspect after several inquiries and arrested him in the middle of the street. After the arrest, a residence linked to the accused was searched. The entire operation was carried out under the directives of Federal Court No. 2 of Córdoba, which ordered the corresponding judicial measures.
The man was transferred to Bouwer prison, where he remains at the disposal of the presiding judge while the investigation progresses. The case is classified under Law 26.364, which establishes penalties for crimes of trafficking and exploitation of persons. Authorities are seeking to determine whether there were direct victims and the possible scope of the network that may have operated in the area.
