The province of Córdoba has launched the Bovine and Bubaline Meat Board, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Bioagroindustry that aims to consolidate the integration of the livestock sector. This space will serve to coordinate joint actions among the various actors in the production chain and improve the competitiveness of the system. According to the authorities, the main objective is to strengthen public-private coordination and optimize processes related to meat production and marketing.
The founding meeting brought together representatives from the productive sector, rural entities, universities, and technical organizations, including INTA and SENASA. From this board, work will focus on identifying common issues and developing sustained growth strategies. The meetings will be consultative in nature and will seek to generate proposals for regulatory modernization that benefit the entire provincial meat chain.
During the presentation, the Minister of Bioagroindustry emphasized that the livestock sector is going through a decisive stage, with new challenges and growth opportunities. "The livestock sector is at a special moment, with challenges and opportunities; that's why this bovine and bubaline meat board is being established. It's good that the public and private sectors can work together and develop short-, medium-, and long-term objectives," the official stated.

A space for joint planning and development
The Bovine and Bubaline Meat Board will have the mission of preparing technical reports, coordinating sectoral policies, and proposing solutions to the demands of the production system. Among its goals is also to promote animal health, productive efficiency, and access to new markets, both local and international. In addition, it will promote ongoing training and the adoption of technologies that improve traceability and the quality of the final product.
The initiative seeks for Córdoba to consolidate its leadership in the production of high-quality meat, a sector with growing economic prospects. To this end, the board will promote agreements among meatpacking plants, producers, and regulatory agencies, ensuring balanced sector development. Institutional coordination will make it possible to design long-term policies that enhance profitability without neglecting animal welfare.
With this working framework, the province is committed to building a more efficient, modern, and market-ready meat chain. The commitment of the various actors will be key for the proposals to translate into concrete improvements in production, health, and exports. This way, Córdoba reinforces its role as one of the country's leading livestock provinces, with a strategic and far-reaching vision.
