The province of Córdoba added 400 new Nissan Frontier pickup trucks intended for preventive patrolling in different regions of the territory. The vehicles were presented at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium by the governor, accompanied by authorities from the Ministry of Security and the provincial Police. This delivery is part of a fleet renewal process that, in just over a year, has reached a total of 700 units distributed between the capital and the interior.
It was also announced the creation of the Special Territorial Operations Group (GEOT), a police force focused on work in areas with higher conflict levels. The unit will be made up of specialized personnel from different operational divisions, including Infantry, SEOM, Canine, and Cavalry. Its deployment will seek to improve the response to various violent incidents and strengthen patrolling capacity in strategic areas.
The Ministry of Security reported that the new pickup trucks added are equipped with tactical gear, reinforced lights, and anti-vandalism systems. These units will join daily patrols along with the motorized teams already operating in the recently created police districts. In addition, it is expected that GEOT will operate in coordination with other areas of the force to ensure continuous coverage in the most demanding sectors.
