Sebastián Villa sued Boca for constructive dismissal and is claiming multimillion-dollar amounts
The Colombian footballer accuses the club of having unfairly excluded him from the squad and demands substantial compensation
The conflict between Sebastián Villa and Boca has added a new chapter in court. The Colombian forward, currently at Independiente Rivadavia, filed a lawsuit against Xeneize before the National Labor Court No. 34, where he is claiming a multimillion amount for indirect dismissal.
Villa is demanding compensation exceeding 236.7 million Argentine pesos (521,997 pounds) and 2.08 million dollars, arguing that he was arbitrarily removed from the professional squad in June 2023 after a criminal sentence against him for gender-based violence became known, which is not yet final.

According to the player, after that court ruling, Boca forced him to train alone, prevented him from competing, and excluded him from group activities, which would constitute a violation of his labor rights as a professional footballer.
The lawsuit also states that the club imposed a cap on the dollar exchange rate in his contract, which would have caused a significant salary loss for the player amid the growing and unstoppable inflation at the time. In addition, Villa keeps that he tried to rejoin the squad or be loaned out, but the management rejected all alternatives, leaving him with no options to continue his career.
As a result, in July 2023, the Colombian considered himself dismissed and turned to the labor courts seeking compensation, payment of unpaid salary differences and damages.

Meanwhile, the club from La Ribera filed a countersuit, in which it is claiming 20 million dollars from the player for alleged breach of contract, according to journalist Germán García Grova.
So far, the club has not issued official statements about the litigation, which must now be solved by the courts. Meanwhile, the case promises to continue generating repercussions in both the sports and legal spheres.
