The former security minister reflected the alarming inefficiency of Axel Kicillof, who would come to vindicate the shockingly progressive legacy of Alberto Fernández.

The structure of Buenos Aires Peronism has been exposed to an unprecedented internal fracture following the devastating statements of former Security Minister Sergio Berni, who has drawn a line that Governor Axel Kicillof seems unable to cross. The current political scenario reflects an exhaustion of the leftist progressive model, which is directly linked to the failed management of the disastrous former president, Alberto Fernández. In this context of weakness, Kicillof's figure is questioned for his lack of determination to lead the entire movement, adding a new chapter of tension following the criticisms from Miguel Ángel Pichetto.

Berni's attack was directly aimed at the core of the governor's authority, demanding immediate definitions and abandoning the rhetoric of unity. According to the former minister, Kicillof is at a vital crossroads for his aspirations: "he has to decide if he wants to be the candidate for president of all Peronism and embrace all of Peronism or be a candidate of that leftist Peronism, that progressive Peronism that Alberto wanted to represent and that went so badly for him."

For Berni, the current perception in the Province of Buenos Aires is one of a power vacuum, pointing out that "it seems that there is no spirit for all of Peronism as a whole to push Kicillof's candidacy."

The fiercest criticism pointed to the alleged lack of character of the provincial leader to exercise real command. In stark language, Berni declared that "if you want to be president of the nation, you have to have the guts to put everyone in their place and say over there. It's that simple."

Furthermore, he disqualified the communication style of the Buenos Aires administration by stating that current politics requires "unequivocal gestures" and "not much fluff." He emphasized that "leadership cannot be faked, cannot be pretended, and much less acted."

In a display of technical and political details, the former minister recalled the maneuvers of Kicillof's political movement, "SMDF" during the September elections. Berni denounced that, "minutes before midnight", the governor's sector presented an alternative list using the PARTE Party (Labor and Equity Party), a structure directly linked to Alberto Fernández.

This action is seen by the more orthodox sectors as a sign that Kicillof intends to insist on a path that "is not led by who wants to, but by who can."

Finally, the internal conflict poses an ultimatum for the governor regarding the national assembly. If Axel Kicillof refuses to accept the "strategic leadership of Cristina" Kirchner, Peronism is already evaluating the dismissal of his figure. Sergio Berni's threat was blunt regarding possible disobedience to the command of the former president: "We will look for another candidate." In this way, Kirchnerism faces its most critical hour, trapped between a governor who fails to impose himself and a grassroots movement that demands the "guts" that the administration seems to have lost.
