Silvina Escudero announced the decision she made about her motherhood: 'It's very hard'
The dancer opened her heart in an intimate conversation, where she spoke for the first time about her attempts to become a mother
At 41 years old, Silvina Escudero is going through one of the most challenging processes of her life: the deep desire to become a mother. In a sincere conversation during a Bondi Live broadcast, the artist bravely recounted the journey she has been taking with her husband, Federico, and revealed the decision she made regarding her pursuit of motherhood. Without euphemisms, she spoke about the losses, the emotional exhaustion, and how this process led her to reconsider her present and her future.
"We have been going through many losses, a lot of sadness. I always try to show joy, but sometimes there isn't joy," she confessed to Nazarena Vélez, Laura Ubfal, and Barbie Vélez, in a Storytime segment where she appeared visibly moved.
The dancer acknowledged that behind the cheerful image she usually shares on social media, there is a much more complex and painful reality. "I don't share the whole journey. I only talked about one pregnancy I lost, but it wasn't the only one," she said bluntly.

The most recent loss occurred during the summer of 2024, an experience that left a mark on her and led her to distance herself from public exposure. However, silence was not synonymous with isolation. Escudero found support in the exchange with her followers: "Many mothers and fathers write to me on Instagram, broken in half, saying: 'What do I do with my wife? She can't get out of bed.' In that back and forth, I understood that I'm not alone."
"Life isn't what we want it to be. Life is what it is," she reflected with maturity. That phrase summed up not only her personal process, but also the acceptance of a reality that, at times, becomes uncontrollable.
During the interview, the woman also spoke about the less visible side of fertility treatments: the impact on the body and psyche. "I underwent several treatments, for those who don't know, let me tell you it's very tough. A woman's body goes through many things, injections and so on," she explained. The dancer emphasized that, as an artist, her body is her work tool, and for that reason she had to make a difficult decision: "I decided to pause my career a bit and prioritize my pursuit."
There were two years of professional pauses, hormone injections, medical tests, and an exhausting wait. "It was hard for me, but I set out to start over, to be the Silvina I was, to continue with my work and what I'm passionate about. I'm still pursuing it at the same time, but I also try to accept the life I have, because not everything is as we want," she expressed honestly.
