Steam published its long-awaited annual report with the best-selling games of 2025, measured by revenue caused on the platform. The most striking data point is clear: multiplayer once again set the pace of the market.
According to the official survey by Valve, only three titles in the Top 12 were designed exclusively for a single player. The rest focus on co-op, online competitive modes, or a combination of both.

How Steam's ranking was put together
The list includes the 100 games with the highest revenue of the year in the PC store. They aren't ordered by exact position, but grouped by categories: platinum, gold, silver, and bronze.
The platinum category brings together the titles that caused the most revenue in 2025. Several of the year's most anticipated releases appear there.

Of all of them, only Oblivion Remastered, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Silksong are 100% single-player experiences.
The weight of online and co-op
Valve's report confirms a trend that repeats year after year. Games with online modes, active seasons, and large communities continue to be the ones that generate the most revenue.

Even titles with a strong narrative component incorporate co-op or competitive options to broaden their reach.
What happened in the other categories
In the gold category (positions 13 to 24), releases such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Doom: The Dark Ages appeared.
Further down, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road was placed in silver, while Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Ninja Gaiden 4 closed the list in bronze.
