TecPlata announced the launch of the 3S Shuttle Service Solution, a new weekly maritime service that connects the terminal located at the port of La Plata with the port of Montevideo, in Uruguay. The initiative aims to expand logistics options for Argentine foreign trade, adding operational efficiency and greater competitiveness in a scenario of sustained growth in exportable volumes.
This new link was developed together with Independencia Shipping Lines (ISL) and formally began with the operation of the vessel Intrépido, which will be responsible for the collection of export cargo in La Plata for subsequent transshipment in Montevideo, thus facilitating access to multiple international routes.
More competitive alternatives for Argentine exports
TecPlata emphasized that the new service responds to a concrete market need: "Increasing connectivity to provide the market with new options is vital in a scenario of volume growth. Argentine foreign trade needs more competitive alternatives in the face of future challenges."
They also highlighted that the new connection is the result of long-term collaborative work: "Our policy is based on listening to the market and providing tailored solutions. For months, we've been working with ISL to build this alternative, confident that it will be successful in this context. The secret lies in teamwork among importers, exporters, feeder operators, and shipping lines."
