After weeks of rumors, Telefe officially confirmed its sale to a new business group. The news was announced this Thursday, October 23, on the channel's social media accounts.
The transaction involves the complete transfer of the share package that belonged to Paramount Global.

In the statement published by the official accounts, the channel confirmed that businessman Gustavo Scaglione acquired all of Telefe's shares. "The acquisition of Telefe, a brand deeply rooted in Argentine cultural identity, marks the beginning of a new stage focused on growth and the integration of both organizations," stated the new owner.
