The tense exchange between Nahir Galarza's former spokesperson and Marina Calabró: 'It doesn't justify...'
Jorge Zonzini and Marina Calabró debated the Nahir Galarza case, questioning the responsibility in the crime
The former spokesperson for Nahir Galarza and the journalist engaged in an intense debate about the case that sentenced the young woman to life imprisonment.
The case of Nahir Galarza, convicted for the murder of Fernando Pastorizzo in 2017, continues to generate controversy. Jorge Zonzini had a heated exchange with Marina Calabró on Arranca la tarde, where the role of Nahir's father and the media coverage of the case were discussed.

The tense back-and-forth between Zonzini and Calabró
From the start, Calabró raised a key issue: Nahir's harsh statements about her former spokesperson. "We were struck by how badly she speaks of you," the journalist noted. Zonzini, without hesitation, stated that the interview had been manipulated: "This interview was negotiated by Nahir's father," he asserted.
One of the most tense moments occurred when Zonzini insisted on his theory that the crime was not committed by Nahir, but by her father. "In my book, in July 2021, I suggest that this hypothesis was not investigated," he emphasized.
Calabró, however, was blunt. "It wasn't Nahir's first line of defense. They pulled it out of a hat when they had nothing else to resort to," the journalist replied.

Criticism of the Justice System and the debate over the verdict
Another point of conflict was the judicial investigation. Zonzini criticized the actions of the Justice of Entre Ríos, claiming that the case was solved too quickly. "They closed it in six months when other femicides took decades," he argued.
Calabró, on the other hand, defended the verdict. "There was clear evidence placing Nahir at the crime scene," she pointed out. Zonzini challenged her: "Let's see, tell me, which witness."

"That doesn't justify the crime"
During the debate, Zonzini claimed that Nahir was a victim of abuse and that it influenced her behavior. "The expert reports say she is emotionally detained at nine years old," he asserted. However, Calabró stopped him cold: "That doesn't justify the crime."
