Newell’s sporting crisis keeps growing and, after its tough 3-0 defeat to Banfield, an extremely serious incident occurred. During the early hours of Sunday, an unknown individual entered the Bella Vista training ground and threw a Molotov-type bomb at a player's vehicle from the professional squad. Minutes later, a banner with a direct threat to the players appeared.
The incident took place at around 00:50, when the striker managed to breach the complex's security and headed toward the hotel area where the team stays before matches. There, he threw a homemade incendiary device that hit the roof of Facundo Samuel Guch's car. Fortunately, the fire did not spread and only caused minor damage to the bodywork, while the striker escaped immediately after carrying out the attack.
However, the tense atmosphere would not end there, since, during the first examinations by the police personnel, a new intimidating episode took place. On the railings facing Gollán Avenue, a few meters from where the officers were working, a banner about 10 meters (32.8 feet) long was hung with a blunt message: "Win or bullets for everyone". The cloth, written with red and black spray paint, was seized in an attempt to obtain fingerprints or some trace that would make it possible to identify those responsible.

The investigation was left in the hands of the Rosario police, which is analyzing the security cameras at the training ground and in the surrounding area to determine how the striker managed to enter and whether he had external support to display the banner when there was already a police presence.
