The Yofre Norte neighborhood in the capital of Córdoba experienced hours of maximum tension when a man barricaded himself and was finally arrested by the police.
A significant police operation, which included the participation of the ETER group, managed to subdue and arrest the individual, who was barricaded inside a residence.
The incident took place at the intersection of Wilson and José de Medeiros streets.
Due to the man's refusal to leave the home by his own means, authorities called in the ETER Group, whose negotiators attempted to mediate for several minutes.
After securing the perimeter and assessing the risks, the police officers managed to enter the property and subdue the individual.
Inspector Commissioner Julio Moyano confirmed the outcome of the operation:“The man is already under arrest. He was transferred for medical care to Tránsito Cáceres de Allende Hospital because he had a superficial cut on his neck area.”
An emergency medical service and personnel from the Córdoba Police collaborated actively at the scene, and they are now working on collecting statements from neighbors to establish the causes that might have triggered the crisis.
