In a new and alarming episode of violence in the Gaza Strip, the terrorist group Hamas has killed at least five Palestinian humanitarian workers and possibly kidnapped others, according to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
This incident, perpetrated on Wednesday night, marks a direct attack against unarmed civilians whose only mission was to deliver humanitarian aid to a population desperately in need due to the destruction caused by the same terrorist group.
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, an organization based in the United States and backed by the governments of the United States and Israel, strongly condemned the attack.
According to its official statement, the attacked bus was transporting more than twenty Palestinian workers, members of GHF's local team, who were collaborating with international staff to distribute food and critical supplies. The vehicle was heading to a distribution center west of Khan Younis, when it was ambushed.

This crime was not an isolated incident, but the result of a series of previous threats made by Hamas against GHF and other humanitarian actors operating outside its control.
According to the statement, Hamas had warned of reprisals against any attempt at direct assistance to the Palestinian population that did not go through its logistical apparatus, which once again demonstrates this group's modus operandi: prioritizing its power and political control over the vital needs of its own people.
The Foundation denounced the act as a "deliberate and heinous aggression against humanity" and demanded an immediate international condemnation. They emphasized that the victims were humanitarians, fathers, brothers, and Palestinian sons who risked their lives to alleviate suffering amid the conflict.
