The National Government confirmed a salary increase for the personnel of the Armed Forces and the Naval Establishments Police. This will take effect starting in December.
The measure was made official through Joint Resolution 1/2026, published in the Official Gazette. It is added to the increases recently granted to other sectors of the State.
The regulation bears the signature of the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, and the Minister of Defense, Carlos Presti. It establishes the update of salaries after analyzing the ranking situation and the salary criteria defined for the National Public Administration.

The new salaries of military personnel
According to Annex I of the resolution, the monthly salaries of the military personnel of the Armed Forces were set as follows:
- Lieutenant General, Admiral, Brigadier General: $2,866,115
- Divisional General, Vice Admiral, Senior Brigadier: $2,555,944
- Brigade General, Rear Admiral, Brigadier: $2,328,718
- Colonel, Ship Captain, Commodore: $2,039,752
- Lieutenant Colonel, Frigate Captain, Vice Commodore: $1,773,466
- Major, Corvette Captain: $1,397,196
- Captain, Ship Lieutenant: $1,157,154
- First Lieutenant, Frigate Lieutenant, First Ensign: $1,029,221
- Lieutenant, Corvette Lieutenant: $927,877
- Second Lieutenant, Midshipman, Ensign: $840,353
- Senior Non-Commissioned Officer: $1,433,055
- Principal Non-Commissioned Officer: $1,270,438
