On the eve of Independiente Rivadavia's debut in the Copa Argentina, a security operation ended with the seizure of drugs on two buses that were transporting fans of the Mendoza club to San Luis. The match against Estudiantes de Caseros is scheduled for this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at La Pedrera stadium.
The procedure was carried out by Gendarmería Nacional within the framework of the controls ordered by the National Ministry of Security through the Tribuna Segura program. The buses were intercepted on National Route 7, at kilometer 866, in the area of the Arco de Desaguadero, the border between Mendoza and San Luis.
During the inspection of the vehicles, the officers had the assistance of the anti-narcotics dog "Xila", which indicated the presence of drugs hidden among the passengers' luggage. After the search, the authorities confirmed the discovery of 29.9 grams of cocaine and 103.7 grams of marijuana, distributed between both buses.
