The complaint requested the arrest of the Central Córdoba player, accusing him of intimidating the victim and witnesses in the investigation

José Florentín's legal situation could worsen in the coming hours. Although Vélez terminated his contract after the complaint against him became known and Central Córdoba decided to sign him, the midfielder remains free while he is being investigated for aggravated sexual assault with carnal access.
However, the plaintiff filed a brief with the Sexual and Gender Integrity Crimes Prosecutor's Unit No. 1 of Tucumán requesting his detention due to a counterclaim that, according to them, seeks to hinder the case.
The victim's lawyer argued before the authorities that Florentín would be engaging in "acts of intimidation and harassment, both directly and indirectly, toward the victim and the witnesses," with the aim of influencing future statements that could harm him in the judicial process.

Meanwhile, the midfielder, who recently obtained a special permit to travel to Paraguay, is being closely monitored by Olimpia. Nevertheless, the club's interest could be withdrawn depending on the decision made by the judges in charge of the case file.
The case investigating four former Vélez players
Since March 2024, the Tucumán judiciary has been investigating four former Fortín footballers following a complaint filed by a 24-year-old woman for alleged sexual assault. The incident allegedly occurred during the visit of the Liniers club to Atlético Tucumán for the eighth round of the Copa de la Liga.
According to the complaint, the young woman, a journalism student, stated that she made contact via Instagram with Sebastián Sosa, who invited her to the Hilton Garden Inn hotel, where the team was staying. After the match, past midnight, she went to the location and went up to room 407 to meet the goalkeeper. There, she discovered that Braian Cufré, Abiel Osorio, and Florentín himself were also present.
Cufré, Osorio, Sosa y Florentín son los implicados
The complainant stated that she shared alcoholic beverages and that, after having a few drinks, she began to feel unwell and very dizzy. In that state, she lay down on one of the beds and claimed to have been sexually assaulted. Around 5:30 a.m., when she managed to recover, she requested an Uber and returned to her home.
After these events, the players were accused of different offenses. Cufré and Florentín (both currently at Central Córdoba) are being investigated for aggravated sexual assault with carnal access by two or more people as co-perpetrators, with a potential sentence of between eight and 20 years in prison.
Meanwhile, Sosa (currently at Juventud de Uruguay) is being investigated for aggravated sexual assault with carnal access as a secondary participant, while Osorio (currently at Defensa y Justicia) for simple sexual assault.
