The investigation into the death of Ernestina Pais took an important step in recent hours. Several weeks after the tragic train accident that occurred in San Isidro, the results of the toxicological report incorporated into the judicial file were revealed, a key piece of evidence to reconstruct the circumstances in which the incident occurred.
The information was disclosed during the broadcast of LAM (América TV), where they shared the content of the official document that has already been added to the case being handled by the San Isidro Prosecutor's Office.
According to journalist Rodrigo Alegre, the studies determined that no presence of alcohol or substances was detected in Ernestina Pais's blood at the time of the accident.
The actress would not have consumed either alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash
The conclusion dismissed one of the main speculations that had arisen after the incident and that multiplied both on social media and in various television programs.
After the result was known, LAM expressed their outrage at the unproven versions that circulated.
"Any nonsense was said simply because it's free, because there is no type of sanction and no one takes responsibility for the stupid things they say. And besides, she is no longer here to defend herself."
Following the confirmation of the report, the members of the show also recalled the moment the host was going through before her death and highlighted the effort she had been making to rebuild her life.
"She fought a lot to be where she was. She was happy, had projects, had a life ahead of her. There is a son left, there is a lot of family, a lot of people who love her, and they come out to slander a woman who gave everything", they proudly emphasized.
Additionally, they confirmed that the report allows them to put aside other hypotheses that were never proven. "At least this is ruled out that everyone was saying. It was an accident," they expressed with relief.
The controversy over her driver's license
During the debate, it was also mentioned again that the actress was driving with her license suspended after a traffic incident that occurred some time ago.
However, the program differentiated that infraction from the versions that pointed to alleged consumption of alcohol or drugs.
"Let's start from that basis, she didn't have a license and it's perfectly fine to emphasize that (...) But it was a violation, she wasn't committing a crime. It's a violation that is wrong to commit, but it wasn't a punishment for having transgressed criminal laws or something personal."
