Toyota Hilux Single Cab: this is what the next update of the pickup will look like
The Toyota Hilux Single Cab joins the global redesign and promises changes in design and mechanics
The Toyota Hilux, the most popular pickup truck in Argentina, is preparing for an evolution that will mark a turning point. For the first time, the Single Cab variant will receive a redesign with visible changes to its exterior.
The preview became known thanks to a prototype discovered in Thailand, where the Japanese brand is conducting the first tests. According to Autonetmagz on Instagram, these improvements will also reach the Argentine market.

A body style that gains prominence
Until now, the Hilux's aesthetic modifications were reserved for the Double Cab. The Single Cab version, with greater cargo capacity, was usually left behind. That will change with the ongoing redesign.
Exterior and interior changes
The prototype reveals new front headlights, a renewed grille, and an updated-style bumper. There could also be updates to the hood, fenders, and rear lights, although these are still hidden under camouflage.
Inside, Toyota plans to modernize a dashboard that has remained unchanged since 2015. There are no official images yet, but a more current design with better equipment is expected.

Possible mechanical evolutions
According to specialized media, the pickup truck could incorporate improvements to the 2.4 and 2.8 turbodiesel engines. In addition, the addition of the 48V mild hybrid system is being considered, already launched in other markets with the 2.8 engine producing 204 hp.
This advancement would allow for optimized fuel consumption and reduced emissions, a key move to keep the Hilux competitive.

Production and launches
The first presentation of this evolution is scheduled for this year in Thailand. Afterwards, the update would reach the Zárate plant, from where Toyota supplies much of South America.
